How to Get Rid of Things
If you haven't heard already, How to Get Rid of Things is a wildly popular site about, well, getting rid of things. It's been growing since 2004, coming out of a side project in an introductory web design class. Since then we've covered things like pest control, computers, finances, gardening, homemaking, mental health, physical health, personal hygiene, bad smells, stains, cosmetic problems, pet care, and others. With further growth, we hope to take on new topics and more contributors to help fill those categories with thoughtful, clever articles about getting rid of every day problems.
How to Clean Things
How to Clean Things is the younger sibling of getridofthings.com. It's not nearly as big, but I think I like the aesthetics of How to Clean Things better. The object of this site is similar to getridofthings.com, except that here we're trying to clean things without the use of harsh or toxic chemicals. On How to Clean Things, you'll find a host of natural, organic solutions to some of the most common things people have trouble cleaning.
How to Write Good
HowtoWriteGood.net is a website built to help teach people how to write well. Whether it be academic writing, business writing, creative writing, or even technical writing, you'll find an article for just about any writing question you could have. It's one of the cleanest website's I've yet built: few features, no heavy graphics, and very few CSS modifiers.
How-to Writers
How-to Writers is a site conjured up to help keep people informed about the various how-to sites we unleash upon the world. It's not just a place for us to put listings of our websites, it's also a place for other people to submit their sites as well. Webmasters who join the ranks of How-to Writers will be given a very visible listing in our directory as well as blog syndication to help keep readers up to date on their latest publications.
Wide Wallpaper
I'm doing this because I love photography, and I want to share my photography, and I want to learn more about photography, particulalry digital photography. I figure that if I can share my photography with others, they might see what I'm doing and try to contact me--maybe even offer me some feedback on my work. I'm very open to new ideas and constructive criticism. I just hope people can find my site when they search for Wide Wallpaper.
Argumentaries
Argumentaries is a work in progress for the moment, but when it's finished we'll have reviews of socially relevant documentaries, from both progressive and conservative perspectives.
